Six weeks ago FedEx announced what will likely be the single largest rate increase on record for many shippers. As predicted, UPS announced that they are following FedEx’s lead. Effective Monday, December 29, 2014, UPS will impose dimensional weight (DIM) pricing on all Ground packages.
To varying degrees, this change will increase transportation cost for virtually all US shippers.
