When a carrier allows a refund request to
be filed online, we always try that first.
If an online request is denied, we’ll then try to submit the
request through the carrier’s IVR (automated) phone system.
If the IVR request is denied then our team will contact a live operator
in the carrier’s billing department to help get the refund approved.
An operator’s willingness to approve a refund request is (very) subjective, so we’ll
sometimes call up to 5 times to find someone willing to approve the request.
